Promoting the friendship and exchanges between Sacramento and Jinan
JSSCC is affiliated with the Sister City International (SCI), as the City of Sacramento pays the dues to SCI. It was founded in the 1950s when President Dwight D. Eisenhower proposed a people-to-people program. Sister city partnership enables citizens of both communities to become directly involved in international relations through unique and rewarding exchanges at the city level.
We are also one of the longest standing members of the Sister Cities Council of Sacramento representing one of the eight sister cities of Sacramento. The Sister Cities Council meets monthly at the City Hall undertone coordination by the Mayor’s office.
As Sacramento enters her three and a half decade of friendship with Jinan, we continue to lead sister city movement for local community development and volunteer action by motivating and empowering both Sacramento and Jinan. We strive to develop a strong individual and corporate membership fostering educational, artistic, cultural and professional exchanges. Join us in building a successful relationship of exchange and friendship with our sister city.
